Un autre canular circule encore sur Whatsapp, cette fois encore plus haineux car il alimente la suspicion envers « l’étranger »: les immigrants seraient immunisés contre le SRAS-CoV-2 grâce au vaccin antituberculeux. Un mensonge qui a repris de la vigueur au cours de ces heures, à l’annonce du début d’une expérience pour évaluer un éventuel effet de renforcement de l’immunité innée avec l’administration du bacille de Calmette Guérin (BCG), le vaccin vivant atténué qui est actuellement le utilisable uniquement (avec de nombreuses limites) pour prévenir la tuberculose.
Les immigrants
Après avoir terriblement évité tout chinois en janvier, puis nous, les Italiens, étions bientôt devenus les nouveaux maîtres, nous aurions pu penser que nous avions appris notre leçon. Mais non, maintenant les immigrants « qui ne tombent pas malades de Covid-19 » sont regardés avec haine parce qu’ils sont vaccinés contre la tuberculose: a déclaré que le canular est à la racine parce que les immigrants sont infectés et combien (en Afrique le 24 mars il y a plus de 1300 infections), un peu moins que les années 90 actuelles de l’Asie du Sud-Est), est la nature même du vaccin antituberculeux qui, au premier coup d’œil, devrait conduire tout le monde à mentir. En fait, le seul qui existe n’est pas un vrai vaccin contre la bactérie de la tuberculose, mais il consiste à administrer un bacille (BCG) avec une efficacité protectrice contre la tuberculose qui varie selon les populations et qui n’est pas très élevé: il fonctionne suffisamment dans les 5-10 premières années. de la vie, il est donc fait pour les jeunes enfants dans les pays à forte incidence de tuberculose. Selon les auteurs du canular, ce vaccin pour enfants protégerait les enfants, même les Italiens, du coronavirus, tandis que les appels ultérieurs effectués après vingt ans protégeraient les immigrants: ceux-ci sont également faux, car en Italie les enfants ne sont vaccinés que dans les cas de risquer et ne pas tomber malade simplement parce que Covid-19 épargne les segments les plus jeunes de la population, quelle que soit leur origine ethnique; de plus, dans les pays d’origine des immigrants mentionnés (du Maroc au Sénégal, de l’Albanie à l’Égypte), les appels ne sont pas toujours faits et pas partout.
L’expérimentation
Ensuite, il y a une autre question à se poser: comment un vaccin contre une maladie bactérienne peut-il protéger contre une infection virale complètement différente? Et ici, les créateurs du canular ont trouvé un moyen de corroborer leurs allégations lorsque la nouvelle que le BCG est testé contre le coronavirus est testée. Une simplification incorrecte aussi: en fait depuis des années, le BCG a été étudié parce qu’il est pensé qu’il peut réduire la probabilité de contracter d’autres infections en plus de la tuberculose, mais jusqu’à présent, les données se sont révélées rares et même l’Organisation mondiale de la santé a souligné qu’il n’y a pas preuves suffisantes de cet effet non spécifique. Le mécanisme résiderait dans une possible amélioration de l’immunité innée, ou de la réponse immunitaire qui est montée sans la reconnaissance spécifique du micro-organisme étranger: le BCG conduirait le système immunitaire à être plus « combatif », mais seulement pendant quelques mois après l’administration. Une personne nouvellement vaccinée peut donc être (peut-être) moins susceptible de tomber malade; pour tester l’hypothèse, l’enquête, à partir des Pays-Bas, tentera d’évaluer si le BCG peut réduire les infections dans une population à risque (mille médecins et infirmières, moitié en cours de vaccination, moitié sous placebo), considérant donc non seulement la réduction des infections à coronavirus mais aussi de la grippe et autres micro-organismes, viraux et bactériens.

En plus de servir des mois pour obtenir une réponse, ce ne sera donc pas un vaccin contre Covid-19 mais plutôt une aide possible pour réduire la virulence. Et étant donné qu’au mieux, on parle d’une barrière valable pendant quelques mois, un an au plus, les immigrants censés être immunisés contre le SRAS-CoV-2 auraient dû être vaccinés très récemment: encore une autre preuve définitive de la fausseté de la canular détestable qui s’exécute via Whatsapp.

J’ai parlé à mon médecin généraliste de ce professeur imminent (et on devrait tous le promouvoir auprés de nos medecins respectifs pour leur mettre la pression ) et de son optimisme quand à la chloroquine qui traiterait selon lui (et les retours qu’il en a, du fait de sa longue et grande expérience) le COVID.

Ayant participé pendant 20 ans au dépistage de la tuberculose, je ne peux pas vous laisser profiter de l’occase pour charger (encore!) les migrants. Non, la tuberculose ne fait pas « son retour en nos contrées grâce à l’afflux massif de migrants »! Elle a commencé son retour avec le SIDA dans les années 80 et elle a poursuivi avec l’augmentation de la grande pauvreté dans nos contrées. La mondialisation permet effectivement de transporter le bacille de Koch (le premier malade que j’ai connu dans les années 80 était un médecin revenant de l’étranger), mais sa prolifération nécessite des conditions propices: Mauvaise alimentation, mallogement, promiscuité et manque d’accès aux soins.
